Company history
   From the late 1940s, Sampheng was known as the textile street of Bangkok Chinatown. The narrow street was lined with venerable, mostly family-run, companies engaged in the business of importing and printing textile for the wholesale market.  In early 1970s one family broke the norm and set up the first outlet to make these fabrics available to retail customers.  In 1981, this retail branch was formalized into a company called Fabric Center situated right in the heart of Sampheng street.  Fabric Center took the retail fabric trade many steps forward. As one of the forerunners of the back to the nature movement, the Company zeroed in on 100% cotton fabric, and started using its own designs and concept for printing. 

   In 1989, when the second generation members of the founding family started coming home from universities abroad armed with qualifications in design, marketing and finance, Fabric World Co., Ltd. was established as the marketing and export arm of the original company.  A team of young and trendy designers started creating finished goods using pure cotton fabric with exclusive designs. “All Things Fabric” became the new company's vision and slogan. Our lines of merchandise include stylish casual and resort wear for ladies, home wear, household products such as kitchen sets [apron, pot mitt,oven gloves], cotton bags, cosmetic bags, and more.

  Fabric World's products found a ready market in the booming economy of Thailand.  Exclusive printing designs, trendy ideas supported by superior quality in workmanship all contributed to making our products distinctive and established a firm foundation for its growth and expansion.  Soon Fabric World products were exported to overseas market such as Japan, Singapore, U.A.E., the EU and the USA.

   To capitalize on the products' widespread acceptance and popularity, a house brand was created to be the vehicle for advertising and promotions.  Now the Cotton Touch logo serves as a guarantee for quality and style. It is also the sign to look for when searching for Beautiful Ideas in fabric goods.

   Fabric World is a member of Thailand's Department of Export Promotion [DEP], and is on the Exporters' Selected List.
   Fabric World regularly participates in various annual Trade Fairs and Trade Missions organized by the DEP, such as the Bangkok International Fashion Fair [BIFF], the Bangkok International Gift Fair [BIG], and theThailand's Brand Fair.
   Cotton Touch brand name is among the "Thailand Brands" promoted by the DEP in 1999.
